I play LOTRO and I have never once seen someone get made fun of for being a girl...and half the people I play with are girls...though I guess some type of sexism exist once I step out of the close knitted community of my game and go play something like WoW...eh, idk but I've never seen anything to indicate the fact that sexism exist in video games

I just think "sexism" amongst players is becoming more and more myth the more I play.

Usually when you only have one hard carry, and they get really terrible items. (at least from my experience)

Considering that HoN is a fairly complex game, and that the average age of gamers is somewhere between 25-35 (according to various reports), I doubt the average age is very young.

I agree, backdooring should not be a reportable offense. This coming from an anit-BDer too. Hopefully no one will get warned or banned for BDing.

Judging from previous S2 statements on the matter I don't think we have too much to worry about. But then again, stranger things have happened.

amen, it's about time we saw some change to the way people behave in this game and if this doesn't put a stop to it at least it will make it less obvious and widespread

that being said there are a lot of things I think should NOT be reported, one major point of debate is "backdooring" which I think is perfectly acceptable in a desperate situation or even just to speed up your victory, things like this probably won't be added to the list of reportable actions and I hope they never do but a lot of people are pushing for it and I'm praying S2 stands it's ground

Anyone else think that a disconnect at start of game should automatically result in a remake?!?! Or that the people that refuse the remake should be automatically have their accounts permanently locked?!?! I think that allowing them to refuse the vote encourages cheating and have experienced exactly this a number of times. I never refuse a rematch when a player on the opposing team disconnects, because I believe in fair play, but it seems there are many losers out there that are so lame they can only win if they cheat in ways like this. If a game is created as a 5v5 game then it should be a 5v5 game from the start to finish. There should be a heavier penalty for disconnects, maybe locking the persons account permanently if they go over 10% disconnects, although I should add that disconnects due to game crashes should not be counted. And I also feel that it is easy for a team that is 5v3 to simply farm till they have enough gold and are all on lvl 25, to kick the 3 lvl 25 players butts solidly, so the argument that you can still win with less players is totally flawed although it probably has been done before...

The theoretically weakness of DKs is their inability to get out of roots. Sadly, we have no roots. Unholy also gives them a movement buff, and with the amount of kiting I do, a lot of DKs use this often.

DKS does bring up a good point, mind you (I expect from the other perspective). Its always a challenge to answer the mighty DK toolbox, and deathgrip should be watched for.

One thing of note is, if a DK suddenly switches to Unholy Aura (Which increases their Haste and drops GCD to 1 sec), they plan to chain-use their offensive abilities and use Empowered Rune Weapon to further keep the pressure up. Most (good) DKs will wait you to first use Dispersion so to not blow their runes at once though.

And they might deliberately take your first fear (less likely though in Arena) if they're certain they can bring themselves back up to full health afterwards, as it assures they'll have trinks for when they want to burst you down and also refreshes all of their runes. Just be ready for a death grip once the fear is over.

Yes I'm using HonMod for like 10 mods, it's very convenient but still lacks some punch even weeks after new hon releases.

It's better than adding s2z manually I guess :)

Completely agree. It's certainly not like WoW were an update is out hours after a patch. Do you use HoN Mod? I love its update feature. Keeps me from checking the forums 90% of the time.

hon really lacks mod updates when it comes to new versions of the game, it's annoying having to check the boards for an updated version every time, and waiting like a week until it's fixed..
